Gastronomy and music

Over the last 20 years Hans Wetterberg has organized these musical and gastronomic celebrations in many countries throughout the world. The cities below have hosted "Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish or Scandinavian Weeks" and other events linked to this concept:

Kuala Lumpur; Malaysia, Jakarta; Indonesia, Beijing; China, Bangkok; Thailand, Manila; Philippines, Singapore, Kuwait City; Kuwait, Manama; Bahrain, Prague; Czech Republic, Ankara; Turkey, Warsaw; Poland, Casablanca; Morocco, Stockholm; Sweden, Copenhagen; Denmark, Vancouver & Calgary; Canada and Abu Dhabi; UAE

In many cities these events are now taking place annually.

The concept is spreading

Other cities have shown an interest in the "Week" concept. Hans Wetterberg is exploring the possibilities of holding "Scandinavian Weeks" in Budapest, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Johannesburg Kyiv, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney.

Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish and other international companies are taking advantage of this "marketing instrument", finding that it provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen their business ties with local industry.

For sponsoring companies the "Week" provides a great opportunity to hold business meetings during the day followed by an evening of authentic Scandinavian food and music or simply give their customers and associates a good night out.

Companies that have been most supportive of these events over the years include:
ABB, Alfa Laval, Arla Foods, AstraZeneca, Atlas Copco, Bang & Olufsen, Barkath, Barwil, Carlsberg, CST, Danbadge, Danfoss, Danisco, Digi, DNV, EAC Holdings, Ekman, Electrolux, Emborg Foods, Ericsson Telecom Systems, Finnair, GAC, Grundfos Pumps, Hempel, Huurre Coldstores, Hydro, IKEA, Intertec, ISS, Jebsen & Jessen, Jumbo, Kinnarps, Kvaerner, Linco, Lufthansa, Maersk Sealand, Maersk Malaysia, Marskandiser, MHE-Demag, Nokia, Novozymes, Oriflame, RagnSells, SAAB, Sandvik, SAS, Scania, Skanska, SKF, Svenska Handelsbanken, Tetra Pak, Thule, United Plantations, Vattenfall, Volvo and Zaipa.

The following hotels groups worldwide have participated in the concept:
Hyatt, Landmark, Mandarin Oriental, Marriott, Meridien, Philippine Plaza, Radisson SAS, Regent, Renaissance and Shangri-La.
